It all started on 11 October 2009. Daddy and Mommy found little Gabriel's ring finger (left hand) to be a bit red and swollen. There was even pus. We were worried and quickly swabbed the finger with alcohol swabs and applied a thin layer of Dettol cream on it.
Daddy woke up at around 5:30am the following day to check on Gabriel (he was up for milk). The condition has not gotten any better, so Daddy decided to take Gabriel to the hospital.
Dr Foo found Gabriel to suffer from a type of finger infection called paronychia. She said it was quite common among babies. She prescribed Augmentin (strawberry flavoured antibiotics) and Bactroban cream (to be applied to the finger).
People said it is very hard to get babies to take their medication. We found out ourselves that day, first hand!
No! No! That is not milk milk!
