Ma Ma Sak

Now, not too many of you would know what's "ma ma sak". Actually, it's more like "memasak" in Malay and it means cooking.

So, what's cooking has to do with little Gabriel. Oh, it has a lot to do with him. It's one of his favorite past time. Maybe he got it from Daddy. Daddy grew up playing "ma ma sak" with his first friend - a Malay gal called Yati who lived next door.

Not until recently, Daddy and Mommy did not buy any "ma ma sak" toys (cooking utensils toys) for little Gabriel. He only gets to play it at Ah Ma's place. His cousin Chloe and Shaniece have lots of those toys. One of the reasons Daddy and Mommy did not buy little Gabriel any of those toys is we are afraid that those toys that are made in you-know-where (pssst, the country's name starts with Ch***) are not too safe for kids.

Mommy just came back from a conference in Thailand. One of the many toys that she bought for little Gabriel is this...



What you are looking at is a stainless steel toy set. It's not too expensive, though, being priced at around RM50. Mommy said she even saw one that is made of wood, but it was too heavy.
